Convey South African Artists
Convey is a dynamic Soweto-bred artist known for his skills as a singer-songwriter, rapper, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Since stepping onto the scene in 2021, he has quickly established himself with a unique sound and engaging stage presence.
His career started with weekly events at the Box Shop in Soweto, where his performances attracted growing audiences and caught the attention of the local music community. A turning point came when he performed at K Naomi’s wedding in 2022, bringing him widespread recognition. That same year, a collaboration with the group Beekeepers led to a show at the Joburg Theatre, where Convey continued to make waves. In December 2022, he showcased his talent by winning the Youth X competition, performing alongside prominent South African artists like Touchline, Blxckie, and Nobantu Vilakazi.
In 2024, Convey hosted a well-received one-man show at Lebo’s Backpackers, a popular spot for tourists in Soweto. His expanding influence in the Amapiano genre has led to collaborations with established artists like Musa Keys, GABA Cannal, Ndoose RSA, and Zeenhle. His latest single, Nomphelo, highlights his musical evolution and has been eagerly anticipated by his fans.
